Companies, organizations and virtually every group of humans, that want to become successful, orbit a set of guiding principles. When you look at Kaizen's Core Values, you'll find fairly revolutionary action words that we have internalized. Frederick Laloux's book Reinventing Organizations resonated deeply with us. His research gives a blueprint for how concepts such as compassion, humanity, family, equality, cohesion, morality, laughter, can and must be the bedrock of a corporate structure. History meets anthropology, coupled with sociology and organizational psychology, sprinkled with a pinch of political theory.
Barely through the first chapter, I thought, what an interesting (and objective) synopsis of the human race! Concise, clear, hopeful. Instructional without being heavy handed. No matter what kind of company you run or contribute to, Laloux's perspectives offer can give your team(s) the boost necessary to unify and advance without threatening leadership, long term goals or the ever sacred 'Bottom Line."
If every other email, strategy, feel-good staff retreat has not worked, it may be time to take an honest, humbling look at a completely different paradigm.
It could be time to Reinvent your Organization!
